Abans introduces digital stabiliser

Abans has introduced the V-Guard Digital Stabiliser to the market.

“The reasonably priced yet efficient V-Guard Digital Stabilisers protect audio and video equipment, refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions and other home appliances from the hazards power fluctuations and low voltage,” a company spokesman said.

The stabiliser is tested under stringent quality control measures at every stage of manufacture.

It is equipped with a specially designed circuit which cuts off power to the connected unit in case of component failure.


NDB launches ‘Salary Max’

NDB has introduced ‘Salary Max’ current and savings accounts to help account holders to maximise returns on their monthly salary.

NDB Salary Max account holders will be encouraged to open a Real Saver Account to facilitate mandatory savings.

Through this combined account offering, NDB motivates account holders to manage their salary better, by maintaining the Salary Max current and savings account as a transaction account while a desired portion of the salary could be transferred to the Real Saver account where it will accrue bonus interest and grow into a savings fund.


FDI targets $ 2.5b in 2014

Sri Lanka targets $2.5 billion in Foreign Direct Investment in 2014, said Investment Promotions Minister Lakshman Abeywardene.

He said that in 2013 Sri Lanka received around $1.3 billion in FDI.

FDI inflow reached $870 million by September and the full year's data is yet to be finalised. It is estimated that around $1.3 billion, he said.

The Minister said that the Government is confident of receiving the agreed foreign investments from Shangri-La as planned and reaching the $ 2.5 billion target this year.


Seylan Bank commences work for New Year

Seylan Bank commenced work for the New Year after religious ceremonies at its head office.

Sampath Bank Super Branch in Gampaha


Sampath Bank opened a Super Branch in Gampaha recently, taking the number of islandwide Super Branches to eight. This branch will be open for business 365 days of the year with extended banking hours from 8 am to 8 pm. Here Managing Director, Sampath Bank, Aravinda Perera opens the Super Branch.
