Lake House launches Tamil publication at Mamangam temple

A special Thai Pongal pooja sponsored by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd will be held on Tuesday at the historic Sri Mamangam Pillayar Kovil, Batticaloa, organised by Deputy Resettlement Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan while the President of the Link Lanka Social Development Foundation, Eng. Walter Perera and its Secretary and Acting Director, Nandasiri Kalubowila will extend financial assistance. Prime Minister and Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs Minister D.M. Jayaratne will be the chief guest.

The Lake House Tamil publication for preschool children Kuttichutti will also be launched to mark the occasion. Over 1,500 pairs of spectacles will be distributed free among the needy.

ANCL Chairman and Managing Director Bandula Padmakumara and members of the Board of Directors will participate at the ceremony. A variety of Tamil cultural programs will follow.
