Database on school drop-outs

The Sainthamaruthu Divisional Secretariat has decided to compile a database on school drop-outs in the area.

All principals of schools have been requested by the Divisional Secretary, A.L.M. Saleem to provide information in this regard.

It has been assured that drop-outs who had left school due to poverty will be absorbed into schools again so that they can continue their education.

It has been found that school-leavers of over 17 years of age are engaged in self-employment ventures and training programs which are essential for their livelihood.
