Over 2000 houses under 'Rataviru Housing scheme'

The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has decided to construct 2000 houses under "Rataviru Housing Scheme" this year for Sri Lankan workers who are employed abroad.

This program is implemented over concept of Ministers Basil Rajapaksa and Dilan Perera. Last year 1000 houses were built islandwide under this project and by now, 6000 have applied for housing loans in the hope of building a house of their own, said W.E. Jayathilake, the former Divisional Secretary Bingiriya at a conference of foreign job seekers held in Kurunegala recently.
