Whyteleafe Academy's workshop on Jan 14, 15

Award-winning dramatist and journalist Nalaka Swarnathilake, the creator behind children's productions such as Dangamalla, Anne and Mama, Wenama Malak will hold a free two-day workshop on 'Performing Arts and Leadership Training' for children on January 14 and 15 at No. 23/1, Second Lane, Wickramasinghepura, Battaramulla (near ITN) from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Visakha past hostel student's get-together

A get-together organised by the past hostel students of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo will be held on January 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school premises. The fellowship coincides with the Children's Day celebration for hostel students organised by the Old Girls' Association.

The event is co-ordinated by Nimali Heenpella - (0718246889).

Carey College Centenary souvenir

Carey College, Colombo will celebrate its centenary this year on a grand scale. The College Old Boys' Union will publish a membership souvenir to mark the occasion.

To reminisce pleasant memories of their school days, members could contribute a photograph or two to the souvenir, by paying a nominal sum and publish a photograph of their beloved teachers, classmates, friends and family members.

The proceeds from the publication will be used to felicitate past and present teachers and fund various projects.

Kuwaiti Zakath House opening today
