Dear children,

All schools have started for the new term. Start afresh and focus on school work, not neglecting your leisure time activities. Some of you may find it difficult to wake up in the morning and get ready to go to school because it is dark and cool. There have been extreme weather patterns in Sri Lanka as well as in other parts of the world due to environmental damage caused by man.

Today we provide some information about snow and how it is formed. Some of you may have seen snow-covered areas in the northern hemisphere, parts of Canada and America on television. It must be bitterly cold for them but they have to attend school. So, make it a point to wake up early and go to school.
