JEVIC to conduct pre-export inspection
Set up in 2001, Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Centre Company Ltd.
(JEVIC), a vehicle pre-shipment inspection company has received
Government approval to inspect vehicles prior to export from Japan and
issue certification. JEVIC is represented in Sri Lanka by Premium
Trading and Logistics (Pvt) Ltd.
JEVIC has received ISO/IEC 17020: 1998 IBS Standard Type A
accredition and has the technical ability to conduct pre-shipment
inspection of used motor vehicles destined to Sri Lanka.
It has offices in Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka and Kobe and backed by over
30 approved, fully-equipped inspection sites within ports which has
reduced considerable logistical expenses, to the exporter. JEVIC
provides, a 24-hour inspection turn around at competitive prices.
JEVIC employs a team of dedicated licensed mechanics and inspectors,
who are provided opportunities for professional development.
JEVIC's International branch network extends to New Zealand, the
United Kingdom, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago and Kenya, and is
expanding its coverage through strategic alliances in the United Arab
Emirates and South Africa.
JEVIC holds membership of the Australia and New Zealand Joint Chamber
of Commerce (ANZCCJ) and the Yokohama Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
Japan. JEVIC is the first off-shore company to have an exclusive active
service agreement with the New Zealand Government to provide border
inspection for used vehicles.
In addition JEVIC is authorised by many other Governments for various
pre-shipment verification services including the United Kingdom, Dubai,
Singapore, South Africa, Malta, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia, the US
Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency
