A group of foreign tourists at the Sigiriya rock. An exhibition of clay pots and other clay artifacts found during excavations at the Sigiriya archaeological site is now being held at the site. The tourism promotion exhibition organised by the Central Cultural Fund (CCF) will conclude on Friday. Sigiriya has always been one of the main tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. France to invest $ 300m in Lanka

Apparel exports income to hit US$ 4 b this year

The Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA) targets an export income of US$ 4 billion by the end of this year, SLAEA Chairman Yohan Lawrence told a seminar on ‘Port development in Sri Lanka’ organised by the Shippers’ Academy and the Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association last week.

'Seventy percent of world growth from emerging markets'

Over the past few decades, the global economy has changed rapidly. It changed with the power shift from traditional developed countries to emerging markets in Asia. Mobitel teams up with Huawei

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel has teamed up with Huawei to offer a contract plan along with the Huawei Ascend Y220 smartphone. The contract will require Mobitel customers to sign up for an 18-month period. This contract comes along with a Mobitel post-paid package. This package includes free 2GB data, 100 M2M minutes, and 500 M2M SMSs on a monthly basis.
