Havelocks edge out Up Country Lions

Havelocks Sports Club scored a hard fought 29 points (three goals, one try, one penalty) to 25 (two goals, one try, two penalties) win over Up Country Lions in their Dialog 'A' Division League rugby match played at Jayatilleke Stadium, Nawalapitiya yesterday after trailing 12-13 at half time.

Henry Terrance (one), Chamara Dabare (one), Danushka Ranjan (one), Mohammed Sheriff (one) scored the tries for Havelocks with Williami Hakkalo converting three tries while Joe Brown fired across a penalty.

Number Eight Arun Kumar (one), fly half Srinath Sooriyabandara (one) and Joel Katinratubalo (one) scored the tries for Up Country Lions with Nigel Ratwatte converting two tries and putting over a penalty. Shanaka Kumara put over the other penalty for the losers.
