NSB introduces new products

President Mahinda Rajapaksa opened the National Saving Bank's (NSB) new building complex in Matara recently. It coincided with the bank's 42nd anniversary.

The building houses NSB Matara branch and the regional office of the bank.

The Divi Surakum - Retirement ( Pension ) Savings Plan, Diriya Diyani - corporate social responsibility projects for women, Buddhi - higher education loan scheme was launched to mark the anniversary.

President Rajapaksa introduced the bank's new products and accepted the first deposit.

The Governor of the Southern Province Kumari Balasuriya, Ministers Dullas Alahapperuma, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Deputy Ministers Sanath Jayasuriya, Hemal Gunasekera and Chairperson of the National Savings Bank, Ms. W.A. Nalini, Working Director Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana, Directors of the Board, Hema Madiwela, Lionel Fernando GM and CEO H. M. Hennayake Bandara and members of the higher management of NSB, invitees and customers were present.
