GL to brief Maha Nayake Theras

External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris will brief the Maha Nayake of Malwathu Chapter Ven.Tibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera and Maha Nayake of Asgiri Chapter Ven. Udugama Sri Buddarakkitha Thera of the on going UN Human Rights Council sessions and the developments in Geneva, on Monday.

Earlier the Maha Nayake Theras wrote to the President seeking a meeting with the Ministers Prof.G.L. Peiris and Mahinada Samarasinghe as the senior officials taking part in the Geneva sessions to make them aware of the on going developments.

In response to their letter the Presidential Secretariat has responded that Prof. Peiris will meet the Maha Nayake Theras to brief them and offer any clarification. The meeting will be held at 4.00 pm on Monday.
