Safe drinking water for three villages in Eravur
Berendina Development Services (BDS) with Palm Community Development
Services (Palm), will embark on a water supply and hygiene promotion
project in three villages in the Eravur Pattu DS Division in the
Batticaloa district to provide water for 1,000 families.
The Memorandum of Understanding between Palm and Berendina was signed
in Colombo at the BDS head office last week by Chairman of the Berendina
Group, Dulan de Silva and Director, Palm Community Development Services,
Sunil Dompepola.
One thousand families in three villages in the Eravur Pattu DS
Division, Siththandy-1 , Siththandy-2 and Siththandy -3 will be provided
water connections through the National Water Supply and Drainage Board,
under the project
The project will also provide hygiene training and awareness programs
for selected beneficiaries. |
