CASL to revolutionise curriculum
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka)
will launch a revolutionary curriculum to produce visionary Chartered
Accountants in keeping with changing times and market needs.
The revised curriculum of the internationally recognised Chartered
Accounting qualification, to be launched shortly by CA Sri Lanka, has
been developed to produce proficient chartered accountants with
leadership skills to drive businesses across any sector.
The revised curriculum consists of three vital elements, encompassing
knowledge, skills and qualities, giving future chartered accountants the
ability to use their astute knowledge in decision making through sound
financial reasoning while being cohesive to economic, industry and
business circumstances.
The new curriculum will provide vital organisational skills
integrated into strategic decision making in a consistent manner, apart
from infusing the aspiring chartered accountant with characterised
values inspiring excellence in performance while maintaining social
responsibility.
The new curriculum has been developed on a pillar concept, divided
into three levels - executive, business and corporate.
The curriculum will focus on the five pillars of financial accounting
and reporting, management accounting and finance, tax and law, assurance
and ethics, and management. |
