SriLankan Airlines has registered as an associate member of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO).

The agreement between SLAITO and Sri Lankan Airlines took place at the recently concluded ITB Berlin. President, SLAITO, Mahen Kariyawasam and CEO, Sri Lankan Airlines, Kapila Chandrasena signed the agreement.

SLAITO which is a vibrant organisation has among its associate membership - hotel and restaurant operators, transport service, adventure sports, camping site, food and beverage providers.

The entry of Sri Lankan Airlines is definitely a plus factor and will serve as a one stop shop for holiday packages. Over 40 organisations have registered as associate members of SLAITO.

Among the new members are representatives of some of the five star hotels, guest houses to Safari jeep suppliers covering a large spectrum of tourism service providers, convention centres and other allied associations such as SLAPCEO.

President of the Association, Mahen Kariyawasam said that the entry of Sri Lankan Airlines to SLAITO associate membership would help centralise operations and provide the membership with the benefits offered by the airline and promote Sri Lanka Tourism and SriLankan Airlines more aggressively.
