Bee-keeping promoted

Bee keeping projects started in the Thihagoda Divisional Secretariat area have made good progress.

Most of the low income families are engaged in it. As an incentive to make bee-keeping popular among the people bee boxes will be given free in addition to providing training and technical know-how.

Steps will be taken to extend the bee-keeping project to other areas so that the low income families could eventually be economically empowered, sources said.
