Five rural roads carpeted

Five rural roads in the Kotapola Divisional Secretariat area, a distance of 8.2 kilometres was carpetted under the Highways Ministry fund. These roads are Jalapekumbura, Waturawa, Mederipitiya, Beveraly and Temple Road.

Thath Jith by Royalists

A dance show organised by students of Royal College Colombo titled Thath Jith will go on the boards at the Navarangahala from April 07 to 08. The show will commence at 6 p.m.

Vehicle park and playground for Deniyaya

Arrangements have been made by the Kotapola Pradeshiya Sabha to construct a vehicle park and a public playground in Deniyaya under the town development program.

Land for the construction has been selected near the temple road, Deniyaya. Demarcation of the land has already commenced.

Meelad-un-Nabi celebrations

The annual Meelad-un-Nabi celebrations and second floor opening ceremony of the Al-Jammiathul Fassiyathush Shazuliya, China Fort, Beruwala will be held today at 4.15 p.m. at Al-Fassiya Auditorium.

The chairman Al-Haj M.C.M. Hamza will preside. Al-Haj Nowfel S. Jabir, Chairman, China Fort Mosque Society will be the chief guest. Khaleefathul Kulafa Ash Shazuli Moulavi Al-Haj J. Abdul Hameed (Bahji) chief Imam Ummu Zavaya Colombo will be the guest speaker.

President, Addiyayathush Shazuliyathul Fassiya, Colombo Al-Haj M. Fowzan Anwer will be the Guest of Honour.
