Divisional Secretariats to be categorised

The Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs has made arrangements to categorise all 331 Divisional Secretariates in the island under the grades of A, B, C and D. Under this proposed program all Divisional Secretariats in the country would come under progress reviewing and their people-friendly performances would be evaluated by a special investigation team of the ministry in the very near future.

Some investigations would be carried out very confidentially and all the evaluation methods would be implemented regularly and systematically.

"All the Divisional Secretaries in Kurunegala and Puttalam Districts of the NWP have already been educated over this program said the former Divisional Secretary for Bingiriya in Kurunegala W.E. Jayathilake at a meeting with senior officials of Divisional Secretariats of the Kurunegala District held recently at Bingiriya MMV auditorium.
