BoC launches Personal Loans

The Bank of Ceylon (BoC) launched Personal Loans to help people meet their financial needs. Financial assistance is provided to go on tours or pilgrimages under this scheme. Loans are also provided to renovate houses or buy land as an investment.

The bank offers this privilege to Sri Lankan citizens between the ages of 18 to 55 years who are either permanently employed in a government statutory body or a listed private sector company with a salary above Rs. 30,000 or employed on contract basis with a salary above Rs.50,000.

This facility is provided at a reasonable service charge and at low interest rates with a maximum repayment period of five years.

The Bank also provides the option of flexible repayment to suit a person's lifestyle.

This loan could be obtained from any of the BoC branches spread around the country.

As this loan scheme involves less paper work, customers could enjoy benefits of this facility without delay by providing only the most essential documents.

The Bank of Ceylon earned global recognition as one of the top 1,000 banks in the world, as listed by The Banker Magazine (UK) in 2012 and 2013.

The Bank was recognised as one of the Asia's Best Brands in 2013 by the Chief Marketing Officer's Council (CMO Council) in Mumbai, India. Brand Finance Lanka ranked Bank of Ceylon as the number one brand in Sri Lanka for the past six consecutive years.

The Bank of Ceylon recorded another hat-trick in 2013 at the National Business Excellence awards ceremony organised by the National Chamber of Commerce.

The Bank has reached unique milestones in recent years by achieving rapid growth and holds over Rs. one trillion in assets.

Fitch Rating Lanka has ranked the Bank of Ceylon at AA+(lka), the highest rating awarded to a local commercial bank.

The Bank of Ceylon has branches in Chennai, Male, Seychelles and a subsidiary in London.
