Laksala awarded Certificate of Excellence

Laksala, a renowned shopping destination in the country has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel site.

Laksala Chairman Anil Koswatte said that the award for Laksala was the first time such an award had been presented to a State institution.

"This is a remarkable achievement for the institution within three years after restructuring and transforming it to be a profit making entity and a world class shopping destination.

He said that Laksala was the only Government institution selected for this prestigious award among 22 leading shopping destinations in Sri Lanka.

This is ample testimony of our commitment towards customer satisfaction and service excellence.

"The Certificate of Excellence -2014 was awarded based on Laksala's excellent customer service, level of fulfilling their needs and the degree of satisfaction reviewed by customers who visited Laksala during the period under review", Koswatte said.

This award was based on customer reviews and ratings of shopping related malls across the Globe by Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching nearly 260 million unique monthly visitors, and more than 150 million reviews and opinions covering over four million accommodations, restaurants and shopping destinations.
