The students of Colombo schools
recently handed over books to be donated to the ‘Poson poth
dansela’ organised on a concept of Education Minister
Bandula Gunawardena. The free book distribution will be held
on Poson Full Moon Poya and the following day at Mihintale
temple in Anuradhapura. Students of several schools
including Ananda, Nalanda, Lumbini, Isipathana, St.Paul's
Milagiriya, Visakha, Royal, Mahanama, Thurstan and D.S.
Senanayake donated books for this cause.

Commemmorating World Environment Day on
June 5 Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and
Information, Charitha Herath plants a sapling at the
Ministry premises. Other officials were also present
Rs. 143 lakhs to implement “Front
Offices” and “Back Offices” in 56 selected Public
institutions in the Nuwara Eliya district was paid recently
under the patronage of Minister of Public Management Reforms
Navin Dissanayake. This project is implemented by the
Ministry of Public Management Reforms with the objective of
