Masters Athletic Championships June 28 and 29

Sri Lanka Masters Athletic Association is making arrangements to hold its 28th Annual (Open) Championships meet in grand style with the participation of over 600 local and foreign athletes on the 28th & 29th June 2014 at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.According to sources close to Sri Lanka Masters Athletics, athletes over the age of 65 years will be allowed to participate without charging entry fees for the first time in the 28 year old history of masters athletics in Sri Lanka.

Action will also be taken to felicitate most senior citizens & those who have brought honour and glory to motherland in the long history of masters athletics during the closing ceremony.

This meet will serve as the selection trial for the Asia Masters Athletic Championships to be held in Kitakami, Japan from September 19th to 23rd 2014.
