A Public Grievances Redress Mechanism was initiated to broadening the service delivery of public institutions at the Temple Trees under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently. Construction work commenced on the proposed 15 storied office complex of Western Provincial Council at Battaramulla on July 26. Here the WPC Chief Minister Prasanna Ranatunga unveils the plaque to mark the occasion. WPC Ministers and some councillors were also present.

R.S. Selvarajah Nadar Foundation in Colombo, distributed shoes and uniforms to 1001 needy children of 14 Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim schools in the Dehiowita Education Zone.
