CCB machine for ice cream

The Coconut Cultivation Board (CCB) has introduced a novel machine to the market to manufacture ice-cream with coconuts. The Regional Manager of the CCB Kamal Hettiarachchi said that the machine is very useful to those who manufacture ice-cream as a source of self-employment. This newly-invented machine can be purchased at branches of the CCB and the Coconut Research Institute (CRI) at Lunuwila in the North Western Province.

The CRI is ready to provide the know-how on manufacturing ice-cream with coconuts free. The cost of this machine is Rs. 95,000 and it was manufactured by a private firm to be used in Sri Lanka, Kamal Hettiarachchi said.
