Kids N You Story Fest 2014:

A novel idea to infuse children's reading habits

Kids N You is an event coordinating entity specialising in organising events for children on a trimester basis. It is committed to make a true experience in the lives of young children to participate in exciting and fun filled events which will be carefully designed to engage the participants in events catered specially for them.

The very first, maiden project by Shazneen Niyas, the Kids N You Story Fest 2014 brings a novel idea of inculcating reading habits of children by providing them a unique environment to enjoy story reading.

The event will be held at Cinnamon Lakeside on October 12 from 3.30 p.m to 6 p.m. It is an attempt aimed to create an opportunity to hundreds of children to participate in an event of this scale and to be a part of the children's club to look forward to many beautiful events which can put a smile on their beautiful young faces.

The first event will bring much joy to all participants with the attractions lined up, designed for children below the age of 12. "And we look forward to designing many events on a trimester basis which will be a unique experiences targeting different kids age groups," said Shazneen Niyas.

The initial Story Fest on October 12 targets the International Children's Day with love to all the children. This initiative is truly a venture initiated on behalf of children and to be a part of hundreds of children's lives and bring a joyous moment to enjoy and look forward to.

Shazneen Niyas, a teacher is a past pupil of Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya and holds a degree in Teaching. At present she is in-charge of the Edific Institute of Extended Studies catering to Edexcel and Cambridge subjects, from the Primary to Advanced level and speech related examinations awarded by both local and international bodies. Shazneen said, "Kids N You, the newest venture under the Edific group is a brand to represent education and play is a carefully thought-out brand to benefit children and also for them to have an opportunity for a wonderful time through enjoyment dedicated specially for them which I believe our young children deserve."

She said, "As the event's primary objective is to encourage the children to read more books, a reputed book store Makeen Books is on board with us. Acron, the other esteemed organisation involved in kids art material supplying too has opted to come on board to serve various aspects of the event.

'Kids N You', the brainchild project by Edific Institute of Extended Studies is an entertaining entity to serve the young children, motivated to make it an exclusive experience to the young children of Sri Lanka."
