Dr. Gokarn, keynote speaker at BCCS awards 2014

A former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Dr. Subir Gokarn, will be the keynote speaker at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability (BCCS) Awards 2014, organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

The awards ceremony will be held on November 25 in Colombo.

Gokarn, the first Director of Research for Brookings India, will speak on 'From 'nice to have' to 'must have': sustainability and business strategy'. The Indian economist, who also serves as a Brookings senior fellow, was Chief Economist at Standard and Poor's Asia-Pacific operation from 2007-09 and Executive Director and Chief Economist at CRISIL from 2004-07.
