Batticaloa church feast celebrated

The 206th year celebration of Our lady of Voyage shrine Amirthakali, Batticaloa was celebrated on a grand scale recently.

The festive mass was concelebrated by His Lordship the Bishop of Batticaloa Rt, Rev. Dr. Josep Ponnaiyan. The festive masses were celebrated by His Lordship the Bishop of Batticaloa and Ampara Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Ponnaiyah, parish priest of the church D.J. Julian, parish priest of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine, Ayithiyamalai Doglus James and Rev. Fr. Jeevaraj.

Thousands of devotees participated in the celebrations.
