Pedlar with sex boosting drugs arrested

Walana - Panadura Anti Vice Striking Squad on a tip off arrested a man suspected of selling foreign liquor and cigarettes in his car yesterday but found a stock of sex enhancing drugs and ointment instead, police said.

OIC special squad Chief Inspector Duminda Balasuriya said that they received information about a pedlar who was selling illegally imported foreign liquor and cigarettes in a car in the Thalangama area.

The police raided the car in Thalangama North and arrested the man along with two bottles of foreign liquor, some 280 cigarettes along with a large amount of sex enhancing pills and ointments. The stock included various sex arousal creams and sprays too, police said..

The suspect was handed over to the Thalangama Police along with the contraband.

He was to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate yesterday.
