Chef de Mission Salutes Media

Rear Admiral Shemal Fernando who served as the Chef de Mission of Sri Lanka contingent for the recent Asian Games in South Korea expressed his gratitude and commended the 'Media Team' from Sri Lanka for a task meticulously executed to the admiration of the sports loving Sri Lankans.

"The enthusiasm shown by them to cover each and every match and event Sri Lanka took part was unparalleled in the annals of sports history.

They rushed from stadium to stadium to keep Sri Lankans abreast of ups and downs in Incheon", he said.

"Media is indeed one of the vital pillars that could contribute towards securing the elusive gold medals for Sri Lanka in sports and as a sports Administrator, I salute them for the sheer commitment displayed with very limited basic facilities. I am truly proud of them," Admiral Fernando declared.
