beef provided to indoor patients in government hospitals countrywide.
The ministry will introduce alternative food items of high protein
value instead of beef.
This is now being carried out in State hospitals.
The Ministry of Health had included beef in its menu to provide
sufficient nutrition for indoor patients in government hospitals
countrywide.
However, steps are being taken to minimise the consumption of beef by
discouraging people to eat beef.
