Stakeholders enlightened by CAA

The Consumer Affairs Authority branch of the Matara District Secretariat has launched programs to educate traders, consumers, schoolchildren and the public on rules, regulations and ethics of the Authority.

Officials of the CAA branch of the Matara District Secretariat said that these programs have already been started at Divisional Secretariat level in the Matara district .

Over 90 of these awareness workshops have been already conducted they said. Tha CAA would specially enlighten the consumers at these programs on matters that they should be vigilant in purchasing their items.Bringing errant traders to book would not only be the aim of the Trade Ministry.
