Coconut cultivation promoted in K'gala

The Coconut Development Board will launch a coconut cultivation program in the Kurunegala district during this Maha season. Fifteen Secretariat areas have been earmarked for the purpose while 450 Grama Sevaka Divisions have been selected in the area to implement a special program.

Fifty-thousand coconut saplings will be distributed among cultivators in the villages by the Coconut Development Board.

Coconut manure and other assistance will also be provided.
