Five schools excel at grade-5 schol-exam

Five schools have been ajudged as most outstanding by the Department of the Examinations according to the performance review report of the Grade Five Scholarship Examination - 2014 prepared by the Department of Examinations.

The Commissioner General of the Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that the following schools have been identified as the best schools in the country.

Sri Sumedha MV in Gampaha came first scoring 74 marks.

Vishaka Girls' College in Kuliyapitiya and St. JohnBosco College in Jaffna secured the second place scoring 72 marks. Daladagama primary school in Maho in Kurunegala, Dharmapadeepa primary school of Nugagolla in Wilgamuwa and St. John Girls' College in Kalutara secured 3rd place in scoring 71 marks.
