Complaint boxes at schools

The National Child Protection Authority and the Ministry of Education have jointly implemented a project to provide each school a complaint box to seek the views and suggestions of students on child abuse, their mental and physical problems.

This project is aimed at understanding the problems of students and to offer speedy solutions to create a safe social atmosphere for the future generation.

The confidentiality of students would be ensured.

All schools in the Kurunegala district have been provided with these boxes and teachers and students are now educated on the program.

These boxes would be installed at all schools.

Practical solutions would be given to those concerned by authorities of government who has experience, knowledge and wisdom said the Director of Education W.M. Balasooriya in Kurunegala recently.
