Two hundred religious places to be restored

A program to restore 200 dilapidated temples, churches, mosques and kovils in the North Western Province has been launched by the Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara.

These places of worship have been neglected for a long time.

Two-hundred places of worship would be developed under the first stage of this program and Rs. 20 million has been allocated for the project by the NWP PC.

Development work on some shrines has been already launched, said Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara.
