Stars oft'70s on Nov 15

The Past Prefects' Association of Maris Stella College, Negombo has organised the musical show, "Stars of 70s" on November 15 at 6.30 p.m. at Ave Maria Convent Auditorium. Annesley Malewana, Anil Bharathi, Indrani Perera, Mariazelle Gunathilake, Paul Fernando, Dharmarathne Brothers, Christine Gunawardana, Errol Fernando, Priya Peiris and Damascus Peiris with "Super Chimes" will be in attendance.

Kelum Srimal will compere the show.

The proceeds will be in aid of leadership workshops in the Negombo educational circuit.

'Colompure Sriya'to be staged soon

'Colompure Sriya, a drama directed by Veteran artiste Parakkrama Niriella will be launched shortly to raise public awareness and ensure community participation in the Greater Colombo Waste Management Project, funded by the Asian Development Bank.

Ossie's 20th death anniversary

The 20th death commemoration of Ossie Abeygunasekera will be held on November 9, at 9.30 a.m. near his statue at Peliyagoda with the participation of parliamentarians, relations and family members.

PC Imbulana birth commemoration today

The 100th birth anniversary commemoration of the founder member of the United National Party, former Member of Parliament for Ruwanwella, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Housing and Construction, Minister of Labour and Governor of Uva and the Central Provinces, P.C. Imbulana will be held today at 2.30 p.m. at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute for International Relations and Strategic Studies, Horton Place, Colombo 7.

Former Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN in Geneva and former Ambassador to France, Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka, Deputy Leader of the United National Party, Sajith Premadasa MP and Wasantha Senanayake MP will deliver the orations.

Miyasi Visaka' concert on Friday

Students of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo 5 will present Miyasi Visaka concert at the Jeramius Dias Hall on November 7 at 6 p.m.
