Lyceum u.15 Boys and Girls in double win
Junior Basketball Champions... The under 15 girls and boys Basketball
teams of Lyceum International School Nugegoda came out winner, beating
Lyceum Wattala to emerge champions for 2014 in the International Schools
under 15 category.
Lyceum girls Nugegoda under 15 beat Wattala by 63 points to 40.
Sandalipeya Liyanage led the under 15 girls while Yisckelle Foenander
was picked as the best defensive player and Sharanya Jayakody was picked
as the most valuable player.
Then the U.15 Boys team of Lyceum Nugegoda beat Lyceum Wattala by 64
points to 39 to win their Inter-International under 15 boys title. The
U.15 boys team had Sandeep Gunaratne gave a fine display as the captain
and Rushdy Ashroff was picked as the Most valuable player.
This year too the tournament was organised by CIS Colombo and the
final was played at CIS courts, Colombo. The girls team was coached by
Mr. Niluk Dananjaya and Teacher in Charge Mrs. Vanessa Labrooy and the
boys team coached by Gayan Meedeniya and Diluk Himantha. Teacher in
charge Sampath Kodagoda.
