CCC wins Silver award
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), the country's oldest and the
premier business Chamber won a Silver Award under the 'Not for Profit
and Non Governmental' category for its 2013-2014 annual report at the
50th CA Annual Report Awards Ceremony recently.
It won this award contesting under the 'Not for Profit and Non
Governmental Category' at the 50th CA Awards.
The Chamber's 2013-2014 annual report is a landmark edition in the
institution's history, as it was compiled and published during the 175th
anniversary of the CCC. The award winning annual report contains the
significant milestones of the Chamber's 175-year history.
Deputy Secretary General and the Financial Controller of the Chamber,
Mrs. Alikie Perera, received the award on behalf of the Ceylon Chamber
of Commerce.
"The Chamber consistently strives to raise its bar on its financial
reporting process by adhering to the strictest of standards, thus
helping to promote transparency and corporate governance in Sri Lankan
firms," Mrs. Perera said.
