QVentures goes for US $ 50m project
A mixed development project with US $ 50 million
investment by a Malaysian company QVentures was launched at the
Bandaranaike International Airport premises in Katunayake. The
project which is on a BOI land will comprise a hotel and serviced
apartment complex with shopping and entertainment facilities is
expected to be completed within 36 months.

Census Department launches LankaSIS
Accurate statistics is an essential asset for

Integrated transport terminal in Pettah soon
An integrated transport terminal, to cater to
the needs of commuters will be constructed in Pettah by the
Transport Ministry and Malaysia's MAJU Group shortly. The terminal
will bring under one roof, the train, bus, taxi and trishaw services
that operate within the city and the monorail service will be an
addition to Colombo's transport system in the near future.
