Heart patient appeals......

Fifty-eight-year-old Parimaladevi Wijekumaran, a mother of two, of 6/13 A, Galpotha St, Colombo 13 has been diagnosed with a heart condition.

Consultant Cardio-thoracic Surgeon, Dr. Gamini Ranasinghe has recommended a surgery which could be performed at the Colombo National Hospital. The Surgical accessories, which had to be purchased is estimated to cost around Rs. 400,000.

She appeals to the generous public for conditions which could be remitted to the Bank of Ceylon, Kotahena Savings A/C No. 384377.

Book Launch today

'Loku Athulage Kathawa', authored by the late deputy Power and Energy Minister Athula Nimalasiri Jayasinghe (Loku Athula) will be launched today at 3.30 p.m. at the Colombo new Town Hall. The plot is centered on his role in the 1971 insurrection.

The book will be presented to President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at 10.00 a.m. at the Temple Trees.
