Nineteen telecom unions support President

Nineteen trade unions headed by the Sri Lanka Telecom Independent workers' Union have vouched for its unstinted support for President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential Election, Telecom Union President Manoj Manamperi said at a conference held at the Telecommunication and Information Technology Ministry auditorium.

Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya presided.

The minister said that he hoped all trade unions would unite to provide strength to President Mahinda Rajapaksa to frustrate all imperialist conspiracies.

Manamperi thanked all other trade unions who realised the situation and decided to support President Rajapaksa.
