The Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake acted promptly to help 89 families in landslide prone areas of Hapukanda North and East Grama Seva Divisions in Udadumbara Divisional Secretariat. They were shifted to the Sri Sudharshana temple in Hapukanda and provided dry rations. Here the Chief Minister presents a food parcel to an affected person.
