Geoff Pullar: Former England cricketer dies

Geoff Pullar, the former England, Lancashire and Gloucestershire batsman, has died aged 79. Pullar played 28 Tests for England, making his debut against India in July 1959, with his final match against Australia in Adelaide in January 1963.

His 131 against India at Old Trafford in his second Test was the first century scored by a Lancastrian on his home ground of Old Trafford.

He was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1960.
