NWPC allocates Rs. 875 million for health care facilities

Healthcare facilities and government and ayurvedic hospitals in the
North Western Province will be improved under a program launched by the
NWP Health Ministry.
Rs. 875 million has been set apart for this program from the 2015 NWP
decentralised budget. Of this Rs. 250 million will be allocated for
health activities in Puttalam district.
Some activities included in the program are the inauguration of
central dispensaries in rural areas, construction of hospital wards,
official quarters for doctors and nurses and medical equipment and
laboratory facilities will be provided to hospitals.
