Kiwis shot out for 221, Sri Lanka 78 for 5 :

Sri Lanka were undoing their good work earlier in the day after a poor batting display on the opening day of the second test against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve. Having rattled through the last eight New Zealand wickets for just 80 to dismiss the hosts for 221, Sri Lanka were on the run at stumps at 78 for five.
