Trinity in innings win over Dharmapala

Trinity College, Kandy scored their fourth outright win for the season when they beat Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya by an innings and 41 runs in their schools under-19 cricket tournament match concluded at Kadirana, Katunayake yesterday.

Match winners for the Trinitians were skipper off spinner Ravin Sayer who took a match-bag of 7 for 35 and has now taken over 30 wickets and also Arjuna Jayasinghe who made 97, with seven fours and a six and has scored over 360 runs.

Dharmapala Vidyalaya: 94 all out in 43 overs (Roshan Ratnayake 15, Divindu Tillekeratne 3 for 9, Ravin Sayer 3 for 25) and 41 all out in 14.2 overs

(Tharindu Manowith 11, Lahiru Sudesh 6 for 20, Raveen Sayer 4 for 13)

Trinity College: 186 all out (Arjuna Jayasinghe 97, Lahiru Sudesh 19, Ashan Abeykoon 3 for 15, Sanindu Vinoth 3 for 8).
