Didulana shines for Peterites in drawn game

Set to make 199 runs to win in 17overs, the school cricket encounter
between Ananda and St. Peter's ended in a draw at the FTZ grounds,
Katunayake yesterday.
Didulana Medis struck two fine innings 75 and 38 for the Peterites
which was the highlight of the game. In reply to the Peterites first
innings score of 209, Ananda were 88 for 4 overnight and were all out
for 145. Sahan Arachchige top scored for the Anandians with 35.
St. Peter's declared their second innings at 135 for 8 with Didulana
Medis scoring an useful 38.

Thomian-Bens encounter ends in drab draw
The school cricket encounter between St. Benedict's and S. Thomas'
ended in a draw at Kotahena yesterday.
In reply to the Thomians first innings total of 203 the Benedictines
were 34 for 2 overnight. With the aid of Thilina Dilshan (54) and Navod
Abeysinghe (50), the Bens reached 187.
The Thomians in their second essay scored 153 for 3 with Chanuka
Wickremasinghe (54) and Helakamal Nanayakkara (59 n.o) doing the bulk of
the scoring.
