Ravin and Lahiru bowl Trinity to victory by 51 runs

Trinity College Kandy trounced Dharmapala Vidyalaya by 51 runs and home for lunch in their inter-school under-19 cricket match worked off at Kadirana, Negombo and the game ended at 11 am on day two.

Batting initially Palians shot out for 94 runs with Duvindu Tillekeratne doing the damage with 3 for 19 and in reply Trinitians scored 186 runs with opener Arjuna Jayasinghe missing a well deserved century and he hit seven fours and one six in his characteristic knock and in their second essay, homesters were skittled out for a paltry 41 runs with Lahiru Kumara with fine figures of 6 for 18 and ably suported by Ravin Sayer who claimed 4 for 13.

Dharmapala Vidyalaya: 94 - Ravin Sayer 2/27, Duvindu Tillekeratne 3/19 and 41 - Lahiru Kumara 6/28, Ravin Sayer 4/13.

Trinity College -186 - Arjuna Jayasinghe 97, Pasindu Keshan 3/80, Sachintha Vinod 2/25, Ashen Abeykoon 3/45.
