Dharmaraja emerge victorious

Dharmaraja College Kandy recorded a fine nine wickets win over Anuradhapura Central in their Under 19 tournament cricket match concluded at the Lake View grounds yesterday.

Rajans all-rounder, Ruchira Pupulewatte bagged 6 for 67 runs and scored 32 runs. Deshan Gunasinghe scored 59 and Venuka Galahitiyawa scored 47 and took a match-bag of 5 for 60 for Rajans. Ravitha Prabashwara took 5 for 33, Shanuka Kelum scored 40 and Pavindu Sethsara scored 43 for Anuradhapura Central College.

Anuradhapura Central 1st innings 161 all out in 54.4 overs.

Shanuka Kelum 40, Pavindu Sethsara 42, Sahan Ishara 27, (Ruchira Pupulewatte 4 for 59, Gihan Vitharana 2 for 25, Venuka Galahitiyawa 2 for 50)

Anuradhapura Central 2nd innings 93 all out in 32 overs Praveen Neomal 26, Pavindu Sethara 29, (Venuka Galahitiyawa 3 for 10, Ruchira Pupulewatte 2 for 8, Nipun Herath 2 for 8)

Dharmaraja College 1st innings 172 for 4 wickets overnight and all out for 241 in 65 overs.
