Lanka Alzheimers Foundation seeks sponsors

The Lanka Alzheimers Foundation is looking for sponsors for its annual scrabble bash to be held at the end of this month. " Scrabble is just one of our popular activity games in which people with failing memories are encouraged to participate. Our Foundation introduced the scrabble bash seven years ago in 2009 and have held one every year since then. We have found that this game contributes significantly towards stimulating brain activity," Lorraine Yu of the Lanka Alzheimers Foundation told the Sunday Observer.

She said that participation and/or sponsorship for a team of four costs Rs. 10,000 while individual sponsorship costs Rs. 2,500.

"We have set the date for February 28 starting from 9.30 a.m to 4 p.m., at the Lana Alzheimers Foundation premises at 110, Ketawalamulla Lane, Colombo 10.
