Guinness World Records honour for Tendulkar

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 31, 2015: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar now has another feather on his cap. He has been honoured by the Guinness World Records in London to commemorate the completion of its 60 years.

The organisation has honoured about 60 athletes with a certificate and a medal of its 60th anniversary, which is also their recognition of the achievements of the sports personalities.

Tendulkar represented India in 200 Tests 463 ODI’s and T20. He has the most runs in both Tests (15,921) and ODIs (18,426) along with the most number of hundreds (51 Tests and 49 in ODIs) in both forms of the game.

Tendulkar holds a record number of 19 world records – possibly a world record in itself! - as recognised by the Guinness World Records.
